Anaëlle Becker

Anaëlle is a French and Swiss national who joined Milieu in 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in French and International Law from Sciences Po Paris and an LL.M. in European Law from the Institute for European Studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Her academic background underpins a career focused on legal and policy matters across a broad range of EU areas. At Milieu, Anaëlle works on diverse topics including employment and social policy, home affairs, and energy and transport. She contributes to a wide range of projects, carrying out legal compliance assessments and legal and policy analysis at both EU and national levels.
Earlier in her career, she gained experience in private practice and in research roles focusing on migration and criminal law. She also completed traineeships at the European Parliament (on migration and asylum) and at the European Commission’s DG JUST (General Criminal Law Unit). Before joining Milieu, she served as a project manager at the Belgian Federal Public Planning Service for Social Integration during the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Anaëlle is a native French speaker, fluent in English, and has an intermediate level of Spanish and Dutch.
