Per Lundberg

Per is a Swedish national who joined Milieu in 2022. He holds an MSc in European Politics and Policies from KU Leuven, and an MSc in Environment and Resource Management from VU Amsterdam. Per’s areas of expertise include environmental policy, with a particular focus on forests, terrestrial biodiversity and ecosystem services. He also specialises in Cohesion Policy and multi-level climate, environment, and energy transition issues. At Milieu, Per’s work includes comparative policy analysis, literature reviews, content analysis, stakeholder consultations, case studies, research on the Nordic countries, and project management and event organisation activities. He has also gained experience conducting evaluations and impact assessments under the EU’s Better Regulation framework. Before joining Milieu, Per worked for a trade association representing energy efficiency service companies across Europe. He has also worked for a Member of the European Parliament and completed a Blue Book traineeship at the European Environment Agency. These experiences have given him insight into EU policymaking and politics in practice. Per is a native Swedish speaker. He is also fluent in English and is currently learning French.
