Carly Petracco joined Milieu in February 2024 and specialises in quantitative policy analysis, impact evaluation, and econometric research for EU institutions. She manages complex research projects, including impact assessments and evaluations, whilst providing methodological guidance on study design and implementation. She holds a Master of Arts in Economics from American University, Washington, DC. Her expertise spans labour market analysis, social policy, development economics, and environmental impact assessment, with particular strength in applying econometric techniques including propensity score matching, difference-in-difference estimation, and regression analysis in STATA. Before joining Milieu, Carly worked as an Economist at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome, where she managed impact assessments of climate finance and land restoration projects across Africa and South America. Previously, she held positions at the World Bank Group, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Food Policy Research Institute. She conducted labour market diagnostics, designed and implemented large-scale household and firm surveys, and led the quantitative analysis of development programmes. She is a native English speaker with advanced proficiency in Portuguese (C1).
