Juan Pablo Rojas

Juan Pablo Rojas, a Canadian and Colombian national, has been working at Milieu since June 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and an LL.M. in International and European Law, with a specialisation in human rights, from the Université Catholique de Lille. His expertise lies in legal research and drafting, with a focus on international development, migration and asylum, and EU financial regulation. He has contributed to numerous projects on behalf of the European Commission and the Fundamental Rights Agency, conducting legal compliance assessments, feasibility studies and implementation analyses within various fields, including asylum, rail passenger rights and cloud computing, drawing on both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Earlier in his career, Juan Pablo supported international development research projects and initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa related to access to justice and the rule of law. He also advised on European anti-money laundering and anti-corruption frameworks at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), assisting with financial compliance implementation. Juan Pablo is a native speaker of English and Spanish, fluent in French, and has working knowledge of German and Dutch.
